About Susan Crenshaw Cary

Susan's paintings are primarially figures and landscapes inspired by her surroundings of rural Virginia.  She prepares her surfaces of canvas and reclaimed materials in various ways to insure a different and fresh base for every grouping of paintings. Susan then draws,paints, prints, scrubs, stencils, and rubs on and off different paints,mediums  and marks. As the work progresses she finds the perfect balance of color, line, texture, and composition for each unique painting.

Susan shows her work in galleries, art centers, and local businesses in Richmond ,Virginia and the surrounding cities and counties.
